“On the impossibility of landing” is a site specific installation that was constructed on the grounds of the Burren College of Art in Co. Clare, Ireland in June of 2013. This piece was inspired by the social and historical circumstances surrounding the appreciation of a landscape and the people who have inhabited it at different points in history. Using live native plants as a foil for human populations, this work addresses issues of migration, protection and mobility in contemporary life.
